Pintar el olvido

Ha dibujado una mesa y puesto un plato remendado sobre el papel raído: no hay lienzo ni óleo por la escasez. Hasta el aire está hambriento y los pinceles van una y otra vez a la acuarela con el afán de hipnotizar al asma espiritual que le provoca tanta pobreza. Ama tanto a su Casablanca que quiere irse lejos, adonde la nostalgia lo obligue a soñarla y no tenga que que vivirla en su abandono. Espera el éxito con sus pinceles y una carta degradante —que profanaron con blanco— que lo rescate de su barrio grande. Hace tiempo dejó la práctica de pintar barrotes. Ahora dibuja en el asfalto agujereado y las aceras rotas, sus pasos enajenados de regreso para que lo recuerden si no vuelve.

    Ha dibujado la Cuba castrista, pero ha dibujado al pueblo (no a la nomenklatura). Es el pueblo que amanece cada dia en el diario bregar de la alimentacion, pueblo para circo, que es experto en hacer malabares e inventarse un «picadillo» sin carne….o una «sopita de nada» (caldo loco)
